CGM has supplied Flush-to-Grade vaults for installation in New York City sidewalks to house telecommunications cross connect equipment. The patented CGM vault allows the equipment to be "out of sight", creating a safer environment with the hardware out of the reach of terrorists and vandals. Many municipalities no longer allow utility equipment to be installed in public walk areas, making the vault a convenient way to have the equipment where it needs to be, but not blocking sidewalks.

The CGM Flush-to-grade vault has inserts cast into the unit, allowing for easy connection of utility equipment. It also has sealed cable entry ports for application flexibility. The vault lid has an H-20 load rating, handling 20,000 pounds of weight safely, should a fire truck or other emergency vehicle need to park on the lid. The vault has been tested for water tightness and has been successfully installed at several New York City locations.
